PML-Ns Saud Majeed elected as senator, unopposed
Election Commission will issue an official notification shortly
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Saud Majeed has been elected as senator, unopposed after Rafique Rajwana became Governer Punjab, reported Dunya News on Wednesday.
After the appointment of Rafique Rajwana as Governor, his senate seat had fallen vacant after which Election Commission Punjab had announced a schedule on the senate seat.
Tuesday was the last day to submit nomination papers but barring PML-N’s Saud Majeed, no candidate, independent or affiliated with political party, submitted his nomination papers.
Election Commission will issue an official notification shortly in this regard, it is learnt.
