PTI forms committee to present rigging proofs
Judicial Commission has given the date of 15 April for submission of proof regarding alleged rigging
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has formed an 8 member task force to provide proof of alleged election rigging to judicial commission on Saturday. Pakisan People’s Party (PPP) and Awami National Party (ANP) have also formed their committees. PPP s legal team is headed by Aitzaz Ahsan.
Judicial Commission has given the date of 15 April to political parties for submission of proof regarding alleged rigging in the 2013 elections.
PTI has formed an 8 member task force to give evidence of rigging. Coordinator of committee is Ishaq Khakwani while other members of committee are Arif Alvi, Aijaz Chaudary, Azam Swati, Shoaib Siddiqui and 3 lawyers including Mr Farrukh, Qaisar Abbas and Anees Hashmi.
PPP has also formed a legal team, headed by Aitzaz Ahsan. Raja Pervaiz Ashraf will officially give an application to judicial commission to be a party to the matter.
Aitzaz Hassan and Ayaz Somro will present evidence from PPP.
President Asif Ali Zardari has given approval to the proceedings.
ANP has also formed a committee to present its proof, headed by Abdul Latif Advocate. Committee will include Afrasiab Khattak, Zahid Khan, Mian Iftikhar Hussain and Bashra Gohar.
Jamiat Islami will also present evidence regarding alleged rigging in Karachi.
