LAHORE: (Dunya News, Web Desk) – Former Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader who had defected to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) back in 2012, has rejoined PML-N on Friday, Dunya News reported.

Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has welcomed Inamullah’s decision to join PML-N.

Inamullah Niazi had won the Punjab Assembly seat from Bhakkar-II PP-48 in the by-election in November 2014 as an independent candidate. Rumors always had it that he would rejoin his former party. Inamullah had won this seat after it was vacated due to the demise of his brother, and PML-N MPA, Najeebullah Niazi.

Inamullah Niazi is the cousin of Chairman PTI Imran Khan Niazi. He was a staunch supporter of the party led by his cousin until he developed distances with the Chairman PTI for not awarding him the ticket from Inamullah’s home constituency.
