Pakistan, Turkey sign free-trade agreements, MOUs

Pakistan and Turkey signed on 11 trade agreements and Memorandums of Understanding

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -- Turkish Prime Minister Ahmed Daud Oglo, in a bid to strengthen relationship between Pakisan and Turkey, called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for a one-day meeting.

The prime ministers of both countries discussed extensively on matters of mutual interest, growth of trade and increasing cooperation in education and energy sector.

Adressing to media after the meeting, both prime ministers vowed to further the stability of mutual relationship between the two countries.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that the bond between the two countries is strong and cannot be separated.

He told media that Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan while it also emphasizes the need of a solution for Kashmir.

Nawaz Sharif appreciated the non-wavering support of Turkey ever since the tragedy of Peshawar school attack.

Turkish Prime Minister declared his first visit to Pakistan as a matter of pride and vowed to work for mutual growth of relationship between the two countries.

The Turkish PM announced aid of 2 crore rupees for the affectees of South Waziristan.

Nawaz Sharif greeted the Turkish Prime Minister as his counterpart arrived at Lahore. 

The Prime Minister hosted a luncheon in honor of Ahmed Daud Oglo which was attended by Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Advisior to PM on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Naval Chief and Chairman Joint Chief of Staff.
