Corps commanders of Lahore, Quetta and Mangla changed

In a major reshuffle in the Pakistan Army on Saturday, the corps commanders of Lahore, Quetta and Mangla were replaced. Lieutenant-general Khalid Shams has been appointed as Chief of General Staff.The former Chief of General Staff lieutenant-general Mustafa has been appointed as core commander Mangla. Lieutenant-general Rashid Mahmood has been appointed core commander Lahore while lieutenant-general Javed Zia has been appointed as Quetta. The serving lieutenant-general Ijaz Ahmad Bakshi and lieutenant-general Nadeem Ahmad would retire by the end of the month.
