Pakistanis now need visa prior to traveling to Sri Lanka.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Sri Lanka on Friday stopped issuing visas on arrival to Pakistani nationals. The Lankan authorities said that the move comes in the wake of an increased amount of asylum seekers turning to Sri Lanka, adding that visitors now have to obtain a visa, Dunya News reported.
Sri Lankan officials said Pakistan Foreign Office has been informed about the decision. Reportedly, a large number of asylum seekers from Pakistan turned to Sri Lanka availing the visa on arrival facility. Lankan authorities say the move is to stop the increased amount of asylum seekers from Pakistan.
