Mustafa Kamal resigns, confirms MQM Coordination Committee
The MQM Coordination committee has confirmed that Mustafa Kamal has resigned from Senate membership.
KARACHI (Online): Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Senator and former Karachi mayor Syed Mustafa Kamal has tendered his resignation to chairman Senate.
According to sources, MQM (Coordination committee) Rabita Committee confirmed his resignation, adding Kamal was out of country due to personal engagements.
MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, office bearers and party workers expressed well wishes for Kamal’s future.
It is significant to recall here that from 2005 to 2010, Kamal served as nazim of Karachi city.
Meanwhile, there are also reports of differences between Anis Qaimkhwani and MQM leadership. However MQM Coordination committee has categorically denied these reports.
