Lawyers boycott courts
The lawyers will hold a general body meeting today.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The legal fraternity is observing strike in the Sindh High Court and lower courts today (Monday) against killing of several lawyers and abduction of Balochistan’s former advocate general.
Lawyers are observing a strike on the appeal of the Pakistan Bar Council.
A senior lawyer said that former advocate general Mir Salahuddin Mengal was kidnapped from Quetta on April 16 and his whereabouts are still unknown.
He said senior lawyer Basharatullah Khan along with witnesses was killed in Islamabad, while two others lawyers were attacked in Lahore.
On the other hand, hearing of thousands of cases has been affected due to ongoing strike.
