LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistani actress Meera’s mother Shafqat Zahra on Thursday has refused to record statement in her daughter’s double-nikkah case.

According to details, the court asked Meera’s mother to put forward her stance about the actor’s double nikkah which she refused. The lawyer said that Meera’s nikkah with Attiq is based on real facts.

Subsequently, the court has adjourned the hearing till Friday.

Earlier, the Inteha actress wrongly interpreted the court’s proceeding and said that she has been given justice after nine years by allowing to marry again.

However, the court had actually dismissed all miscellaneous pleas of Meera and Atiq-ur-Rehman and decided to hear the case on daily basis. The judge also said that the verdict on whether Meera’s nikkah with Atiq is fake or not is yet to be announced on December 30.

On the other hand, an anti-corruption court had issued non-bailable arrest warrant of Meera’s mother Shafqat Zahra for confiscating three canal land of a citizen Azmatullah.

The warrant was issued after Shafqat Zahra failed to appear in court despite three summons of the judge.
