Cinemas step back from 'free refreshment' promised at Jeewan Hathis show
As the film's duration is one-hour, cinema distributors had announced free refreshment scheme.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Some cinema owners are in a bid to thwart the success of Hina Dilapazee starrer ‘Jeewan Hathi’.
As the film’s duration is one-hour, cinema distributors had announced free refreshment scheme for the viewers on Rs500 ticket.
The distributors had continued the scheme in their own cinemas but others who attained the rights to show the film on the condition of ‘free refreshment’ had not fulfilled their promise.
While talking to Dunya correspondent, the film’s writer Fasih Bari said that he himself had watch the movie in cinema with the public but the cinemas did not provide them the free refreshment.
“The cinemas are damaging the movie over stepping back from the scheme they promised to provide. After the film concludes after an hour, the public think that it is some sort of break. The cinema owners should deliver the relief to the public so that national films can be promoted," he said.
