Chinoy's documentary film was focused on Lahore's music community during the 1970s

LONDON (Dunya News) – Pakistani filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s documentary film ‘Song of Lahore’ was awarded with the Audience Choice Award at the London Indian Film Festival held by the Bagri Foundation, reported Dunya News.

The film, which was co-directed by Andy Schocken along with Chinoy, was based on the music community of Lahore during the 1970s and includes interviews of various musicians as well.

With two Oscar awards to her name, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is hailed as one of Pakistan’s most successful filmmakers.
