LAHORE (Dunya News) – In the recent series of threats and protests, Shiv Sena on Tuesday has threatened Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan who are in India for business commitments.
The showbiz personalities have reportedly received threats from Sena. The fanatics have threatened to disrupt promotions of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees starring Fawad and Mahira along with other luminaries.
One of the extremist wings in India, Sena which has a stronghold in Maharashtra is casuing problems and making headlines for the past few days. The recent acts of violence could only be described as insane. It seems like India could not hold unjust hatred and aggression against Pakistan a moment longer and burst.
Mahira was back to Pakistan after her schedule for Shahrukh Khan’s film Raees wrapped up which is directed by Rahul Dholakia. However, she is back in India these days.
Sena seems to have taken a path that would tangle India in issues not only national but international. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is concerned over decision regarding India hosting the T20 World Cup 2016 following protests on Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan’s arrival for talks over series.
However, Indian media has claimed today that there would be no series.
This should not be considered the first attempt to sabotage art and relations as earlier, legendary singer, Ghulam Ali s concert was cancelled. It is common for Pakistani artists to have faced different issues during visit to India. But, what can not be comprehended is how a nation which thrives on cricket and cinema would allege its celebrities and known faces of disaffection with country.
The people who were born there and struggled for a better life would be asked to leave India and go to Pakistan, who would have thought of that? Shahrukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan are among those who have had to justify there allegiance more than once. Saif, in an interview during promotions for 2009 flick, Kurbaan had revealed that he was refused an apartment in Mumbai despite his acclaim.
