Pakistani detained for forging passports, visa stamps in Thailand
Officer claimed Iqbal has admitted to make passports to sell them for about Bt7,000 to Bt8,000 each.
BANGKOK (Web Desk) – A Pakistani man on Friday has been apprehended in Bangkok for selling forged passports and Thailand visa stamps to various clients.
Mohammad Iqbal, 52, was arrested on January 14 from his condominium room on Kalapapruek road in Bangkok’s Phasi Charoen district with having Singaporean and Indian fake passports as well as plates and laminates to forge entry visas to France, Italy and Spain, revealed Immigration Police Bureau commissioner Pol Lt-General Sutthipong Wongpin.
The officer claimed that Iqbal has admitted to have made the passports to sell them for about Bt7,000 to Bt8,000 each.
“Iqbal made the fake passports from scratch, instead of altering real ones. He is an expert in making French and Italian passports,” said Suttipong.
