Karachi: 6-year-old girl raped, thrown in stream
The girl was transferred to hospital in serious condition
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Unidentified people raped a six-year-old girl and threw her in the stream of Korangi. They had cut her throat and considered her dead.
Her operation has been completed and she is being kept in ICU. A doctor assigned to treat her told that she will be able to talk after 48 hours. He said that her wrist and throat was cut from two ends.
The girl named Tooba was transferred to Civil Hospital in serious condition. She was found beside the Korangi Causeway. Police arrived at the location upon report by residents of the area.
According to doctors, Tooba’s throat was cut from two ends. Her body was found with severe injuries of torture. It has been confirmed that she was raped during the terrible incident.
The initial investigation report suggests that Tooba is student of a private school in Korangi. She names her father as Shabbir. Police have started investigation of the incident.
Statements of residents are being recorded. The officials have stated that the girl is in deep shock. She is not in a condition of telling anything correct at the moment.
Meanwhile, two ladies have reached the hospital who claim that their little girl went missing a couple of days ago.
