52 human trafficking groups active in Pakistan: intelligence report

In last three years, more than hundred people have been recovered after paying ransom.

LAHORE (Daily Dunya) – The intelligence report has revealed an alarming figure of 52 human trafficking groups present in Pakistan.

These groups hoodwink the youth by promising them a golden future in Europe, but in fact, take them in confinement in Iran, Turkey, Greece, Dubai and South Africa to eventually demand ransom for their release.

They also collect blank cheques from the families of the persons who go abroad with them as guarantee, and blackmail them later on the grounds of legal proceedings.

In last three years, more than hundred people have been recovered from Chine, Turkey, Greece and Iran after paying ransom.

Four people were kidnapped for ransom in Turkey not long ago.

Faiz-ul-Hassan and Asad Jaffery, who were killed by torture in Moscow recently, had also gone abroad in pursuit of a bright future.

There are also some people in Dubai who still demand ransom from the families of those who were captured there.

Karachi’s Javaid Ansari, Ameen Ahmad, Javaid Chana, Larkana’s Ahmad Ali Domki, Smaro Baloch, Nazeer Ahmad Laghari, Hakim Ali Shah, Gujrat’s Ismaeel Ahmad, Tahir Gujjar, Mandi Bahauddin’s Sana Ullah, Saqib Salehri, Dera Ghazi Khan’s Allah Bakhsh, Hussnain Ahmad, Asif Kirmani, Faisalabad’s Sajjad Ahmad, two brothers Javaid and Ansar have been unconfined from Iran and Greece after paying ransom.

Moreover, Multan’s Sagheer Ahmad, Amir Pota, Fakhar Qazmi, Okara’s Shaffique Ahmad and Lahore’s Saqib have also been recovered from China.

A man from Kasur took money and made their freedom possible.
