Dolphin force fails to stop increasing street crimes in Lahore

DIG operations revealed that the personnel arrested five street criminals during patrolling.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The Dolphin force in Lahore has failed to perform competently as street crimes continued abated in Lahore.

The turkey-trained officers on heavy bikes worth Rs 13 lac became unsuccessful in controlling street crimes due to which more than 2200 criminal activities were taken place in first nine months of the current year.

It was also learnt that ten citizens were murdered over dacoity resistance in six months while 688 personnel with advanced equipments were unable to thwart any big attempt.

It is pertinent to mention here that two locals were also got severely injured due to firing of Dolphin force while bribe case was also registered against four officers.

On the other hand, Deputy Inspector General Operations Dr Haidar Ashraf said that Dolphin force checked more than 39,477 cars, 40,000 bikes and 38555 people in September month.

He also revealed that the personnel also arrested five street criminals during patrolling.
