Naseem Shah got his first wicket by getting Marcus Harris out in the tour match against Australia XI
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Sixteen-year-old prominent pacer from Pakistan has proved his mettle by taking his first wicket against Australia A, coping with the grief of his mother who passed away on November 12.
Pakistan’s 16-year-old quick Naseem Shah has given Australia’s batsmen plenty to think about with a fiery spell in the drawn pink-ball tour match against Australia A.
Two days after the death of his mother, Naseem delivered a bruising display of fast bowling at Perth Stadium that culminated in the teenager dismissing Marcus Harris (20) with a fearsome bouncer that caught the left-hander’s edge.
Naseem Shah, right-arm medium-fast bowler, had troubled Kangaroos on their turf in the tour match with his exceptional and fast pace bowling. He claimed his first wicket by getting Marcus Harris out in the on-going match.
Australia A and Pakistan players came out in solidarity to condole the death of spearhead bowler’s mother by wearing black armbands on Day 2 and 3 of the three-day practice match in Perth.

"Heartfelt condolences to Nasim Shah and his family. Both sides are wearing black armbands today in respect to Nasim’s mother who passed away last night," Cricket Australia tweeted.
Pakistan coach Misbah-ul-Haq had also backed Naseem Shah to do well on Australian soil. "We are looking forward to him bowling in Australian conditions which will give him some assistance with pace and bounce”, he expressed.
Naseem Shah had said that he is looking forward to make an impression with his speed and swing. "I aim to make an impression with my speed and swing if given a chance in the Tests against Australia," Shah was quoted as saying by www.cricket.com.au.
Naseem Shah was named in Pakistan’s Test squad for their series against Australia in October 19.
He made his first-class debut for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on September 1, 2018.The prominent pacer made his List A debut for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup on October 16, 2018.
