The 27-year-old pacer has been in a very unsatisfactory form with just four wickets in 14 matches.

(Web Desk) – Mohammad Amir, Pakistan spearhead pacer, reacted to his fans after being dropped from the ICC World Cup 2019 squad on Thursday due to his wicket-stricken performance.

Showing no sign of regret, Mohammad Amir expressed his involvement in England tour and hoped to give his best. He also wished and showed his support to Pakistan Cricket team for the World Cup (WC) title.

Reacting to his name being excluded from the World Cup, the young pacer showed grace and tweeted this on Thursday:

Earlier, Pakistan WC squad selector axed his name from the preliminary 15-man squad for the championship that is to be held in England next month.

The 27-year-old pacer has been in a very unsatisfactory form with just four wickets in 14 matches.

Amir, who missed the previous two WC 2011 and 2015 due to his five-year ban because of match fixing in 2018, still has a chance to retain his place as teams can be changed until May 23, seven days prior to the start of World Cup.

Amir has been included in the 17-man squad for the five-match ODI series against England from May 5-19 which will act as a chance for him to regain a place for the World Cup depending on his performance.

There was a surprise World Cup call-up for 19-year-old rookie fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain who bowled at 150kph in the PSL earlier this year.
