T10 Cricket League to begin in Sharjah today
The matches will be played by white ball instead of pink.
SHARJAH (Dunya News) – After the great success of Twenty20 format, now T10 Cricket League is all set to begin at Sharjah Stadium from today (Thursday).
The four-day tournament that will conclude on December 17, features famous international players including India’s Virender Sehwag, Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi and England’s Eoin Morgan.
Sources told that popular commentators like Danny Morrison, Dean Jones and Rameez Raja will be the part of the tournament that will be on-aired in 93 countries across the world.
The organisers had earlier decided to use pink ball in the league but they changed it to white ball over recommendation by former Indian skipper MS Dhoni, who recently went to Sharjah to inaugurate his cricket academy.
Captain of the Pakhtoons team Shahid Afridi said, “Sharjah has always been a special venue. As soon I was told about T10 cricket, I got thrilled and I immediately said that I want to play it.”
