Summary Khan acknowledged efforts of chief selector Inzamamul Haq, the coaching staff and head coach
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shehryar Khan has announced Rs 1 million reward on Tuesday for each player of the winning squad of Champions Trophy 2017.
The PCB chief congratulated the team for their historical Champions Trophy glory this year and announced the reward after they landed in Lahore where they were accorded a hero’s welcome.
Reportedly, the team would be getting the reward in accordance with their central contracts with the managing board.
ICC has announced $2.2 million (Rs 14.18 crore) for the winning team whereas India is to receive a sum worth $1.1 million (Rs 7 crore) as the runner-ups of the Champiosn Trophy 2017.
In addition to the squad, Khan acknowledged efforts of chief selector Inzamamul Haq, the coaching staff and head coach.
Earlier today, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif announced Rs 10 million each for the players.
Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa “announced Umrah” for the players as a token of acknowledgement of their brilliant performance against arch rival India in the final match.
