Reports claim that he was a Bangladeshi cricket fan who jumped in front of the train

(Web Desk) – After Pakistan stunned India in the big final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017, it was reported that an Indian cricket fan named Bidyut committed suicide as he couldn’t bear the loss.

Sources confirmed the reason was Indian cricket team’s defeat. The 25-year-old, belonging from Shang Gate area, was a food vendor. He committed suicide by jumping in front of the fast moving train. His father Anisur Rahman expressed grief at the loss of his son.

He felt depressed when the Indian team lost. The incident occurred on Sunday night when the match ended. Being dishearted with the match result, he decided to commit suicide. He went to the railway station and jumped in front of the fast moving train.

"Disheartened by the match result, Bidyut committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train Sunday night,” said the in-charge of railway station.

Interestingly, he didn t belong to India. He was a Bangladeshi national who had deep love for Indian cricket. Title-holders India, set 339 to win, collapsed to 158 runs. Pakistan took a revenge win as they were earlier thrashed by 124 runs in their tournament opener at Edgbaston on June 4.
