Afridi, Shehzad and Umar Akmal unlikely to play T20 against England

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee has started consultation to finalise Twenty20 squad against England, Dunya News reported.

According to sources, the final squad will be announced after third one-day international (ODI) against England.

All-rounder Amad Butt is likely to be included in the squad, whereas, names of Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad are not under consideration. Both will be tested in home series against West Indies.

Moreover, sources told that former T20 captain Shahid Afridi will have to play domestic cricket first to prove he is in form.

The only T20 international match between England and Pakistan will be played on September 7 at 10:30pm.

The Test series between the countries was drawn 2-2 while England are leading the five-match ODI series after defeating Pakistan in the first match.
