Pakistan Cup: Islamabad to play against Punjab today

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) - Dunya News’ team Islamabad led by star player Misbah-ul-Haq will face Shoaib Malik’s Punjab team in a 50-over Pakistan Cup at Iqbal Stadium today (Monday).

The match will start at 3pm in Faisalabad.

Proper arrangements have been ensured while the authorities have also directed to monitor the whole tournament that will conclude on May 1.

Islamabad team, who have also won Pakistan Super League (PSL) title, would step onto the ground with enthusiasm while Punjab team players are also ready to give tough time to the opposite side.

Led by Pakistan’s Test captain Misbah ul Haq, Islamabad include Mohammad Sami, Kamran Akmal, Mohammad Irfan, Nasir Jamshed, Zafar Gohar and Sharjeel Khan and coached by Mansoor Rana and Sabih Azhar.

Punjab led by star all-rounder Shoaib Malik includes left-handed opening batsmen Shan Masood and Salman Butt. Mohammad Rizwan, Asad Shafiq, Zulfiqar Babar, Ehsan Adil and Saad Nasim are also playing for Punjab in the tournament. The team is coached by former Pakistan wicket-keeper Atiq uz Zaman and Mautashim Rashid.
