Drafting for Pakistan Cup players underway in Lahore

All the teams will be able able to select as many as 15 players.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Drafting of players for upcoming Pakistan Cup is underway at local hotel in Lahore today (Tuesday).

According to details, captains of all the teams, higher officials and chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahryar Khan are participating in the ceremony.



Sarfraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, Younis Khan and Azhar Ali will lead the sides from Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan apiece.

On the other hand, star player Misbah-ul-Haq would represent Islamabad team.



The first turn of picking process was given to Dunya News team’s captain Misbah-ul-Haq whereas each team will be able to select a squad of 15.



Pakistan Cup which is a five-team one-day tournament based on the draft system is all set to kick off on April 19 in Faisalabad. The event will include teams from the country’s four provinces and a Federal Capital side.

The PCB also announced that the match fees in this tournament will be doubled in comparison to a regular domestic one-day game.
