PSL final: United overpower Gladiators by 6 wickets

(Web Desk) - Islamabad United s skipper Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and decided to bowl first against Quetta Gladiators, led by Sarfraz Ahmed, in the final of the first edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) being played at the Dubai Sports City (DSC).

Ahmed Shehzad and Kumar Sangakkara scored fifties but some tight bowling from the United bowlers at the end of the innings restricted the Gladiators to 174 for 7. Mohammad Irfan took 2 wickets whereas Rusell bagged 3 wickets to his name.

Islamabad United batted very positvely throughout the entire second innings as the entire scenario was dominated by Smith and Haddin who scored fifties and ensured the title for their side.
