LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahrhryar Khan said on Friday that Muhammad Hafeez and Azhar Ali have agreed to join training camp held at Qaddafi Stadium Lahore from tomorrow, reported Dunya News.

According to the details, PCB chief met the two players in order to solve the issue of their boycott over Muhammad Amir’s participation in the camp. Shahryar Khan said that the meeting has been fruitful and the two players have agreed to join the camp from tomorrow. He said that players are not against PCB policy and their boycott was not due to any personal grudge. PCB Chairman said that Amir has apologized from his team mates for his conduct and the board is giving him chance on the basis of his talent.

Earlier the former Twenty20 captain Mohammad Hafeez and current one-day skipper Azhar Ali refused to train with tainted paceman Mohammad Amir in an ongoing fitness camp. Hafeez told head coach Waqar Younis he would not attend any part of the camp in which Amir will participate, sources close to the matter said. One-day captain Azhar Ali also backed Hafeez in boycotting the camp staged to train the team for next month s tour of New Zealand where they will play three one-day internationals and as many Twenty20 internationals. Amir, along with Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif, was banned from the sport for a minimum of five years in 2011. The trio were charged for spot fixing after taking money to arrange deliberate no balls in the Lord s Test against England in 2010.
