LONDON (AP) - Australia tried to set up a dramatic Ashes fifth test victory over England on Sunday, sacrificing second innings wickets to lure the hosts into a run race challenge.

After England was all out for 377 in its first innings, Australia rushed to 111-6 in 23 overs before declaring at tea on the last day of the last test in an Ashes series that England has already won.

England was chasing 227 from 44 overs.

Stuart Broad took four wickets as Australia treated the game like a one-day international.

Australia scored 492-9 declared in its first innings before the game was shortened by rain that prevented any play on Saturday s fourth day at The Oval.

Out of form Matt Prior hit 47 and Ian Bell scored 45 as England scored 130 runs in a shortened first session.
