LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan is reported on Monday to be in talks with Iran to sign an agreement for resumption of banking transactions.

Governor of State Bank of Pakistan, Ashraf Wathra has said on Monday that an agreement is to be signed with Iran to resume banking transaction and all arrangements have been made in this regard.

He said that new avenues and ideas must be explored to boost exports.

Wathra asserted that Islamic Banking would increase to 20 percent by the end of 2020 from the current status of 11.7 percent. He claimed that the interest rate is the lowest in the present day in the history of Pakistan.
