Economy reshaped in 3 years, claims Dar
Federal Finance Minister says inflation in country less than 4 percent
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has stated that the country s current economic growth (4.7%) is the highest as compared to that achieved in past four years, adding that international economic organisations are praising the developments made by the country in this regards, reported Dunya News on Wednesday.
Dar claimed that the country s economy has been completely reshaped during the past 3 years. He stated that the current rate of interest is the lowest in past four decades whereas inflation rate is less than 4 percent.
Federal Finance Minister said that the country s reserves are more than $21 billion, adding that the current government returned loans if it took any. He said that the amount of loans for agriculture was increased up to Rs 600 billion during the tenure of the current government and funds for the social sector were increased thrice.
