Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly dissolved
Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa signed the summary for dissolution of the provincial assembly.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - On advice of Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engr. Shaukat Ullah dissolved the provincial assembly today (Tuesday).
A notification was issued by the Governor’s House that declared dissolution of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
According to Dunya News, Justice (retd) Tariq Pervaiz will take oath as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s caretaker Chief Minister on Wednesday.
Dissolution of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly dissolution comes three days after the National Assembly was dissolved on Saturday night.
A caretaker setup is to be selected now to take over to oversee general elections which, according to the constitution, have to be held within 60 days of the assembly’s dissolution.
